Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ShipPolicy at shippolicy.app ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers who access or use the Service. The Service is operated by Signal26 ("we," "our," or "us").

Description of Service

ShipPolicy provides:

A questionnaire-based tool to generate customized legal document templates for mobile applications
Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Support URL page templates based on your responses
Hosting of generated documents at custom subdomains (e.g., yourapp.shippolicy.app)
Downloadable versions of generated documents in HTML and Markdown formats

No Legal Advice

THE DOCUMENTS PROVIDED BY SHIPPOLICY ARE TEMPLATES ONLY.

Not Legal Advice: ShipPolicy does not provide legal advice, legal services, or legal representation. We are not a law firm.
No Attorney-Client Relationship: Using ShipPolicy does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Signal26 or any of its employees.
Templates Only: The documents we generate are based on your questionnaire responses and industry-standard templates. They may not be suitable for your specific legal needs.
Consult a Lawyer: We strongly recommend having a qualified attorney review any legal documents before use, especially if your app handles sensitive data (health, financial, children's data) or operates in regulated industries.
Jurisdiction Varies: Legal requirements vary by jurisdiction. Our templates provide general coverage but may not address specific requirements in your location.

Purchases and Payment

Pricing

ShipPolicy costs $29 USD as a one-time payment per app. This includes:

Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Support URL page generation
1 year of hosting at your custom subdomain
Downloadable HTML and Markdown files

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

Hosting Renewal

After the initial 1-year hosting period, you may renew hosting for $9/year. If you choose not to renew, your hosted documents will be taken offline, but you retain all downloaded files.

Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of our product, all sales are final. Once your documents are generated and delivered, we cannot offer refunds.

We offer a free preview of your generated documents before purchase so you can review exactly what you'll receive. We encourage you to use this preview feature before paying.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

The ShipPolicy service, including its design, code, templates, and branding, is owned by Signal26 and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

Your Generated Documents

Once you purchase and receive your generated documents, you own the right to use them for your app as intended. You may modify, host, and distribute your generated documents as needed for your app's legal pages. However, you may not resell the ShipPolicy service or generated documents to third parties.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated documents for third parties
Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
Use the Service to generate documents for apps that violate applicable laws
Provide false or misleading information in the questionnaire
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
Claim that documents generated by ShipPolicy constitute legal advice

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Signal26 disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
Warranties that the documents generated will meet all legal requirements in your jurisdiction
Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNAL26 SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
Any damages arising from your use of generated documents
Any claims by third parties related to documents generated by the Service
Any legal issues, app rejections, or regulatory actions resulting from the use of generated documents

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service ($29).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Signal26, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use of the Service
Your use of generated documents
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another party
Your app's compliance with applicable laws

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. However, you retain ownership of any documents you have downloaded prior to termination.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date."

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
